This Operate Bridge Inspection Units training course covers the skills and knowledge required to safely and efficiently operate operate a bridge inspection unit in Civil Construction, Repairs and Maintenance, Bridge Inspection, Civil Engineering, Road Authorities and Mining industries.

Under Bride Inspection Units can be used for the systematic inspection, condition rating and monitoring of bridges and other structures. Under Bridge Units allow for easy inspection, maintenance and repair of bridge substructures, super structures, and gantries.

 

This Under Bridge Unit training is recommended for groups of people working in infrastructure, road maintenance, or mining industries including:

• Workers who will be operating a Bridge Inspection Unit

• WHS officers

• Bridge inspectors

• Bridge repair and maintenance crews

• Telecommunications and cable installation personnel

• Transport industry workers

Course Description:
 

This Under Bridge Inspection Unit training course includes planning and preparing, checking bridge inspection units, setting up bridge inspection units, operating bridge inspection units, carrying out operator maintenance, and cleaning up. Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and industry sectors.

Students will need to demonstrate awareness of OHS legislative requirements, and the basic principles of risk management and the prevention of injury and illness.

Certification:

 

On successful completion of the theory and practical assessment, students will receive:​

• a Statement of Attainment nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework

• an Operate a bridge inspection unit photographic card.

You will also be provided with all course materials.

Assessment:

This Bridge Inspection training course includes 5 days of training and assessment, where participants will be required to successfully demonstrate theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
