What is the EWPA?

The Elevating Work Platform Association (EWPA) is an organization that represents the interests of the Elevating Work Platform (EWP) industry in Australia, promoting safe and effective use of EWPs. The association provides training, resources, and advocacy for members involved in the operation, rental, and maintenance of EWPs.

HiReach Training delivers the EWPA Yellow Card training - a training course designed by the Elevating Work Platform Association of Australia. It is a proof that the cardholder has completed the necessary training and assessment required to safely operate elevated work platforms (EWPs) within Australia. The Yellow Card is recognized as evidence of competency in operating specific types of EWPs in the following classes:

  • SL - Scissor Lifts

  • BL- Boom Lifts under 11m

  • VL - Vertical Lifts

  • TL - Trailer Mount Boom Lifts


We offer the EWPA Yellow Card in 2 courses:


EWP Yellow Card course which covers

  • RIIHAN301E - Operate elevating work platform and

  • a digital EWPA Yellow Card


Working at Heights + EWP Yellow Card course - which covers three tickets in one convenient program

  • RIIWHS204E - Work safely at heights and

  • RIIHAN301E - Operate elevating work platform for Scissor Lifts, Vertical Lifts, and Boom Lifts (under 11m)

  • EWPA Yellow Card (SL, BL, VL, optional TL)
