Eligible
industries and roles
Primary and direct involvement means hands on construction work, where your main job tasks directly contribute to building or civil construction activities and you are personally performing construction work regularly and meaningfully as part of your role - not support, admin or coordination roles.
CSQ funding covers construction, major renovation or new building work in the Queensland Building and Construction industry which includes residential and commercial projects, major projects and civil developments.
But if you are doing work that involves maintaining or repairing existing structures and infrastructure to maintain their current condition, you would not be eligible for CSQ funding. Examples include replacing broken tiles or fixing minor roof leaks, fixing leaking pipes, replacing a window or repainting one room.
If you build or alter, extend or enhance structures beyond their regular upkeep doing the following interior or exterior installation services you would be an eligible worker for CSQ funding:

plumbing and drainage, and mechanical services

gas fitting

kitchen, bathroom and laundry installation

installing sheds carports and garages

shopfitting
-
steelfixing
-
stonemasonry
-
structural landscape and landscape construction (but not general landscaping)

construction site cleaning, builders cleans, construction cleaning for new homes and renovations

scaffolders on site performing duties directly relating to construction, major renovation or new building work (but not scaffold hire companies)

traffic controllers actively engaged on a construction site as part of a building or civil construction project
CSQ Funding also INCLUDES the Queensland Civil Construction Industry:

For example, building infrastructure or clearing land to make way for a development of infrastructure would mean you are eligible for CSQ funding.
So if you are doing works on Civil Infrastructure you would be an eligible worker for CSQ Funding:

Construction Workers in Government Authorities or Government Owned Corporations are not eligible for CSQ Funding.
The only exception is Construction Workers in Local Councils who would like to do the following training courses:
